  • Schematic and Printed-Circuit Board (PCB) Design and Documentation using Altium.
  • Key Design Criteria and Initial Checklist:
      1. Evaluate current Bill of Materials, if available, to learn of any supply-chain issues.
      2. PCB review of existing design, especially if there are EMC concerns.
      3. Evaluate power delivery needs.
      4. PCB layer stack-up for optimal EMC performance.
      5. Design rules (examples): differential pairs, high-voltage/current nets, clearances for low-noise circuits, and isolation areas.
      6. Footprint / Land Pattern analysis. Any existing fabrication and/or assembly issues? Add mechanical layer information where missing or inaccurate.
  • Component Management:
      1. Library Component Creation
      2. Component selection: I can help with the active selection of specific parts, freeing engineers to concentrate on the architecture.
